Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park 

Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park Thirty (30) Hills is a hilly
neighborhood in the middle of a stretch of low-lying eastern part of Sumatra Island , it has the potential diversity of priceless endemic flora / fauna. The type of its ecosystem within the National Park include lowland and highland forests, with flora such as Getah Merah (Gutta-percha), Jelutung (Dyera costulata), Kempas (Koompassia excelsa),Cendawan Muka Rimau (Rafflesia hasseltii), Jernang (Daemonorops draco) and various kinds of rattans. Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park has 59 species of mammals , 6 species of primates , 151 species of birds , 18 species of bats , various types of butterflies.

In addition to the habitat of the Sumatran Tiger ( Panthera tigris sumatrae ) , Tapir ( Tapirus indicus ) , Ungko ( Hylobates agilis ) , Beruang madu / Sun bears ( Helarctos malayanus ) , Sempidan Biru ( Lophura ignita ) , Kuau ( Argusianus argus ) and many others. Originally Bukit

Tigapuluh National Park is a protected and limited production forest. Nonetheless, the National Park forest conditions relatively unspoiled. Bukit Tigapuluh was established as National Park in 1995 with an area of 127,698 ha. and has has been extended to 144,223 ha in 2002

Communities around Bukit tigapuluh National Park consisting of several tribes with traditions and culture that is relatively still very traditional Anak Dalam tribe, Talang Mamak tribe and others. The Society particularly Talang Mamak tribe, they believe that the hills and plants in the national park has the magical powers. Indirectly they take active part in maintaining and protecting the forest in the national park.

Tourist Attractions to be consider :

Jungle Trekking 
3 - 4hours walk into the jungle through a small river up and down the hills to the Waterfall near the Granit Camp

Air Hitam Dalam River
Scour the river to witness Jungle's life. Air Hitam Dalam river is in the Sumatran tiger habitat. 
Tembelung smoky.

Batu Belipat dan Batu Gatal. Cultural tourism and rafting. 
Rafting can be done in Gangsal River, Menggatai River, and Sipang River. It will be depends on the weather, We need rains to get a good stream.  

Kemantan. Cultural tours, to see religious ceremonies of the Talang Mamak tribe. 

Cultural attractions outside the National Park 
Cultural attractions outside the Park include Siak Bermandah in June and Pacu Jalur in August. 

How to get there :

Its around 285Km away from Pekanbaru (The Capital city of Riau Province) Many Public bus available from Pekan Baru to Siberida (5 - 6 Hours) as public bus made a lot of stops to get the passengers. then you gonna need to rent a motorbike to get into the 12km dead road Granit Intersetion to the only place to stay inside the National Park (Granit Camp) unless you have a tent , Its not recomended to go there without a local guide. We need special Permit to enter the area of the Bukit Tigapuluh National Park.
